Founder's Club

Would you like the rare opportunity to experience every vintage we have made and become a long term partner with the winery. This includes rare access to Coeur de Terre and the ability to help make a special blend for just the Founder's every year. This is limited to only 60 people ever, so please hurry before it is gone.

Benefits Afforded to Founder's Club Members:

 Renelle’s Block Reserve Pinot Noir Vertical Six Pack.
As a Founders Club member, your benefits include ownership of one of only 60 engraved, wooden gift boxes containing the first six vintages of Renelle’s Block Reserve Pinot noir – the oldest vines on our property. You will be one of only a handful of people that will have experienced the wine from this block from its first inception.

 Premier access to limited edition releases such as block designates from Sarah Jane’s Block, Abby’s Block and Tallulah’s Run. Other Founders Club offerings will be made available over time.

 Special member prices on wine purchases.
You will receive 15% off of all winery purchases and will receive other special offers only available to Founders Club members.

 Invitations to exclusive winery events.
Have you ever wanted to experience the winemaking process and work side by side with the vineyard manager and winemaker? We will offer hands on experiences from the growing of the grapes to the making of the wine only for Founders Club members.

 Free tastings anytime for you and up to three friends.

 Member discounted lodging at “The Pinot Quarters”.
Founders Club members will be offered a special discount of 15% on all stays at the distinctive guest accommodations located in the heart of downtown McMinnville. This is a great jumping off spot to visit Coeur de Terre Vineyard or any other place of interest in the Willamette Valley. For more information, visit www.pinotquarters.com.

 Founders Club Blend and Annual Event

With a Founders Club membership, you will also have the opportunity to make your own wine! At an annual event each summer, members of the Founders Club will assist the winemaker in the winemaking process by determining the best of the best blend of all our vineyard blocks. That wine will then be bottled in limited production as our signature Founders Club blend, Sacre¢ Coeur, and will find a spot in your cellar with the purchase of at least one case or the equivalent of one case of wine via large format bottles. After this “hard work”, we will all sit down to a wonderful dinner at the winery where we will experience the full bounty of the land and taste verticals of Sacre’ Coeur vintages from the past.

With just 60 spots available, membership with the Founders Club is limited and attained on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost is $599 for the initiation fee and you will receive all of the above benefits of membership including a certificate identifying you as a member of this exclusive club.

CDT RIESLING GETS RECOGNITION!

What a wonderful descriptor from the Oregon Pinot Noir Club which just picked up our wines.  I love our Riesling.  I once thought white wines were for the white haired ladies.  Boy how time changes your palate…and your hair color!  My mind was changed on an incredible trip to Alsace where we enjoyed some of the most amazing White wines in the world.  We are excited that the Oregon Pinot Noir Club has discovered Coeur de Terre Vineyard.

Check out this website for all wines great from Oregon!  http://www.oregonpinotnoir.com/Detail.bok?no=1832

“Old vine Riesling from Oregon! This is excellent stuff, from the Hyland Vineyard. It’s just a tad off-dry, but with the kind of acidity that creates a completely dry palate impression. It’s stuffed with the flavor of peaches, kiwi, and minerals. It’s a couple years old, and has a touch of that older Riesling aroma and a bit of a lanolin texture. Riesling is the next Oregon star, and this is one good bottle of Riesling.”

Spring Fever and Bud Break

After 4 days of "June Like" weather, we are all suffering from Spring Fever. All of our garden seeds have been planted in the greenhouse, the garden beds are clean - er. We have been cooking and eating outside! Most importantly....CdT is in bud break! Most of the upper blocks have pushed with beautiful light green/hot pink buds and I am estimating our lower blocks including Renelle's Block will "pop" in the next couple of days. Today is the day that the race begins. The race that brings us closer to another amazing vintage at CdT. I love this time of year. Everything is so green and blooming...tulips, bleeding hearts, wild iris. I am so grateful to witness this beauty!

LePigeon

The most amazing meal I have had recently was in an eclectic  hole in the wall by the name of “Le Pigeon” www.lepigeon.com.  Pan seared Fois Gras in a broth, Brussel Sprouts (not your grandmother’s Brussel Sprouts), essentially “3 courses of Meat”  beautifully prepared, topped with sweet breads…mmmmmm.  Deep and colorful ambiance from the music to the artwork (El Dia De Muerto Themed) with a visual of the Chef working his culinary magic center stage.  I highly recommend treating ALL of your senses!

Chosen for Portland Indie Wine Festival

Great news! CdT has been chosen once again to be part of the Indie Wine Festival in Portland. We have been chosen to pour our 2006 Estate Pinot Noir as well as our 2006 Riesling. Definately check it our if you are in the area. It consists of only 40 wineries that had to pass a tasting panel to get in, and only wines that were judged good enough are poured. I think over 100 wineries submitted and over 200 wines, so we are truly honored to be here for our 3rd go around at this great event. See you there.

The New McMinnville AVA Winegrowers Association

I am very excited that all of the growers in our area have decided to join together and form the McMinnville Winegrowers Association. This group includes wineries Coleman Vineyards, Brittan Vineyards, Yamhill Valley Vineyards, Youngberg Hill Vineyards and Maysara Vineyards as well as some other great vineyards such as Meredith Mitchell Vineyards and Hyland Vineyards. The idea is to work together to educate the public on what make our area so special and work together to make better wine. This is the true spirit of Oregon.

We will keep you aware of the upcoming events and you can check out the new group at our website or our upcoming blog.
